Two-night camping trip for our chapter including badge activities from Friday (Sept 6, 2024) evening through Sunday (Sept 8) morning.
We have Group 6 site reserved. Check-in is 2 PM, Friday and check-out is 1 PM on Sunday.
Pickle Gulch Campground is a group picnic and camping facility located just off the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway/Highway 119. Visitors enjoy the area for its scenic and off-roading driving, and nearby hiking and fishing opportunities.
Pickle Gulch offers day-use picnic sites and six campsites to accommodate large groups. The group campsites are all walk-to sites for tent camping only. Each campsite is equipped with picnic tables, a campfire circle and tent pads. Vault toilets and drinking water spigots are shared between sites. A separate day-use area contains two volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, picnic tables and a vault toilet. Firewood may be purchased from the host if available. There are no electric/water/sewer hook-ups at this campground.
Directions: Off I-25 from Denver, west on 6th Avenue to State Highway 6, through Clear Creek Canyon. Turn on State Highway 119 toward Blackhawk and Central City. Follow highway to 4 miles north of Blackhawk. Just past Gilpin County School, turn left at Pickle Gulch sign. Follow signs from there. Or click the Google Map link below for other options.
